- The 2010 Meeting of the Americas will include a Union-wide science program that will cover topics in all areas of geophysical sciences. Abstracts are due by March 31.
- 2010 IEEE International Conference on Information Reuse and Integration (IRI-2010) (Las Vegas, Nevada, from 2010-08-04 12:00 AM to 2010-08-06 12:00 AM)
- The IEEE IRI conference is rapidly growing as an international forum for information reuse and integration researchers, practitioners, developers, and users to explore cutting-edge ideas and results, and to exchange techniques, tools, and experiences. Paper submissions are due March 28, and final versions of accepted papers will be due June 18.
- Earth and Space Science Informatics (ESSI) Workshop 2010 (Fairfax, Virginia, from 2010-08-02 12:00 AM to 2010-08-04 12:00 AM)
- This workshop will focus on open discussion and collaboration in five main areas: visualization, provenance, software reuse / open development, semantic web, and education/outreach. It will be held at George Mason University, and additional details are available at the site's wiki (link below).
- 2010 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS 2010) (Honolulu, Hawaii, from 2010-07-25 12:00 AM to 2010-07-30 12:00 AM)
- The annual meeting of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, this 30th anniversary conference's theme is "Remote Sensing: Global Vision for Local Action". Abstract status will be available March 26, and final versions of accepted papers will be due July 2.

- O'Reilly Open Source Convention 2010 (OSCON 2010) (Portland, Oregon, from 2010-07-19 12:00 AM to 2010-07-23 12:00 AM)
- OSCON explores the open source technologies that are here to stay, what will broaden the foundation, and what will lead the way to unexpected places and innovations. The Call for Participation deadline is February 1, and early registration opens in April.
- 2010 World Congress in Computer Science (WORLDCOMP'10) (Las Vegas, Nevada, from 2010-07-12 12:00 AM to 2010-07-15 12:00 AM)
- This Congress gathers researchers in computer science, computer engineering, and applied computing with the mission to promote excellence and sustain quality by assembling a spectrum of affiliated research conferences, workshops, and symposiums into a coordinated research meeting held in a common place at a common time. Proposals for organizing sessions and workshops are due January 16, and draft papers are due March 1.

- This event will showcase a wide array of technology research and development related to NASA's Earth science endeavors, and will provide a venue for promoting collaboration and networking among technologists, scientists, and mission planners.
- 2010 International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE 2010) (Cape Town, South Africa, from 2010-05-02 12:00 AM to 2010-05-08 12:00 AM)
- ICSE is an international event for software engineering, providing a forum for software engineering professionals from industry, government, and academia to hear about and discuss the latest developments, trends, and innovations in software engineering. The conference program includes technical tutorials, workshops, demonstrations, and exhibitions.
- NASA ESDS Software Reuse WG: Workshop on RRLs (Greenbelt, Maryland, from 2010-04-07 09:00 AM to 2010-04-07 03:00 PM)

- Free and Open Source Software for Geoinformatics 2009 (FOSS4G) (Sydney, Australia, from 2009-10-20 12:00 AM to 2009-10-23 12:00 AM)
- FOSS4G 2009 Sydney will be the seventh "formal" conference of the open source geospatial community and is expected to focus on the increasing importance of FOSS4G in the public and private enterprise. Carrying on the FOSS4G conference tradition, 2009 will present a comprehensive agenda, combining content from across the geospatial spectrum. The astract submission deadline is June 1, 2009.
- Geological Society of America 2009 Annual Meeting (Portland, Oregon, from 2009-10-18 12:00 AM to 2009-10-21 12:00 AM)
- This year's theme is "From Volcanoes to Vineyards: Living with Dynamic Landscapes" and the meeting will include technical sessions, field trips, and short courses. The abstract submission deadline is August 11, 2009.
- 11th International Conference on Software Reuse (ICSR11) (Falls Church, Virginia, from 2009-09-27 12:00 AM to 2009-09-30 12:00 AM)
- The main goal of ICSR is to present the advances and improvements within the software reuse domain, as well as to promote interaction between researchers and practitioners. This year's theme is Formal Foundations of Reuse and Domain Engineering, but the conference covers a wide range of topics in software reuse. The paper submission deadline is May 15, 2009.
- AIAA Space 2009 (Pasadena, California, from 2009-09-14 12:00 AM to 2009-09-17 12:00 AM)
- The AIAA SPACE 2009 Conference & Exposition will examine issues in areas such as the U.S. government's space modernization program, transitioning from the Space Shuttle to Constellation, and how a globalized economy shapes the market. Some topics include what the second 50 years in space will bring, shifting to a knowledge-based economy, and solutions to climate change. The abstract submission deadline is January 20, 2009.

- The International Conference on Geoinformatics is an annual forum for Geospatial Information Science Professionals, and provides an opportunity for all professionals involved in GIS, GPS, and RS research and development to discuss new ways to advance the theory, technology, and applications of GIScience. Workshop and special session proposals are due January 20, 2009, and paper submissions are due February 18, 2009.
- Earth and Space Science Informatics Workshop 2009 (Baltimore, MD, from 2009-08-03 12:00 AM to 2009-08-05 12:00 AM)
- With the theme of "Developing the Next Generation of Earth and Space Science Informatics: Technologies and the People That Will Implement Them", this workshop covers three major areas of informatics that have emerged from previous AGU meetings: data integration and federated information systems; user interactions -- human computer interaction, interfaces and visualization; and semantic web in the Earth and space sciences. Submissions of short papers and extended abstracts (5 page maximum) are due April 17, 2009.
